Sriram Group picks 32 students from
Indo Global
Opening a new chapter in the region’s
recruitment history Chennai-based Sri ram Group has
picked up as many as 32 B.Tech and MBA students
during a joint placement drive, conducted at Indo
Global College of Engineering, Abhipur, Distt.
Mohali. The pay packages range from 1.8 to 2.4 lac
per annum. In all 1625 students from 32 colleges
across the region participated in the drive.
With this, Indo Global College has
bagged the unique distinction of being the first
college in this part of the region to facilitate the
holding of joint placement recruitment drives by 30
national and multi-national companies. Seven more
companies are scheduled to visit the campus for
hiring students within this fortnight.
Giving details of the drive by
the Rs. 17,500 crore Sriram Group, which has 30
offices accross the country, Indo Global College
Chairman Sukhdev Singh Singla said, As many as 297
students, passing out in 2008, were shortlisted
after an online test of 45 minutes. Subsequently,
the students faced group discussion and personal
interview. The entire process was carried out under
the supervision of the company’s Assistant General
Manager Shri KN Sridhar & Manager Mohan Kumar and
Vivek Kumar.. Mr Singla further told that this drive
was part of the
on going chain of recruitment drives
which had been running since December, 2007. Major
companies like Simplex infrastructures Ltd, Era
India Infra Ltd, Vatika Infrastructure Development
Group, Wipro, Bharti, Dell and HCL Technologies have
picked up young talent from the college this year.
ICICI(Prudential), Globus Infocom, Max New York, Nj
India Investment have also selected electronics,
mechanical and MBA strudents in placement drives
held earlier.
Expressing satisfaction in
the quality of students, Mr KN Sridhar said,
there is no dearth of talent in the college and
more such drives would be conducted there by the
company atb Indo Global.
