Launches unique program to prepare industry-ready Polytechnic students
Toyota Technical Education Program (T-TEP) , a unique training initiative by Toyota Kirloskar Motor, in conjunction with its parent company, Toyota Motor Corporation, joint ventured with Polytechnic Institutes to develop highly skilled young Service Advisors for the automotive industry.
T-TEP is aimed at enhancing the skill sets and employability of the Diploma students for Mechanical Trade.
“This partnership will definitely enable us to offer the students a greater exposure to technical training and a larger scope in the Auto Industry in India”.
Apart from being technical institutes of academic repute and offering automotive courses with proper classrooms, practice areas, the institutes selected for participation in T-TEP, should have adequate number of qualified automotive instructors. T-TEP curriculum has been synchronized with Mechanical Diploma Trade syllabus in the 3nd year of the course. In addition to that, on the job training will be provided at the nearby Toyota dealership, every week, for a period of 6 months, so that the students can get a first hand feel of Toyota technology and service systems. T-TEP also aims to be a part of Toyota’s comprehensive human resource development system that extends from the training at TTEP institutes to recruitment and development at Toyota dealerships.
Under this unique technical education program, TKM will train the instructors of the institutes in the latest technology used at Toyota. Additionally, this initiative will provide exposure to the students to latest service techniques used in the automotive industry. TMC and TKM would fund the project along with providing T-TEP hi-tech training packages and Toyota service training manuals.

Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra Chief Guest for Lamhe 2014- Fresher Party at Indo Global Colleges
Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra Member of Parliament from Anandpur Sahib was the Chief Guest at Indo Global Colleges, Abhipur near Chandigarh for Lamhe 2014 – the most popular annual youth event of welcoming freshers. The guest of honour was Sardar Harnek Singh Gharuan, ex Minister of Punjab Government. Some of the most prominent dignitaries present on the occasion were Sardar Harwinder Singh, Chairman along with Harpreet Singh Basant Youth President Shiromani Akali Dal, Ropar, accompanied by Ranveer Singh Beepur, General Secretary Youth, Jaswinder Singh Morinda, General Secretary Youth, Daljeet Singh Kainor Vice President and Kashmir Singh Bilaspur Vice President. OSD Hardev Singh Harpalpur was also present on the occasion.
Addressing a gathering of over 4000 students at Indo Global Campus, Prem Singh Chandumajra recalled his youthful college days, first as a student then emerging as a student leader, going on to become a lecturer before entering active public life. He congratulated the fresher students for having taken a wise decision to join Indo Global Colleges as the campus is well known in the region for merit and excellence. He was pleased to see the well equipped laboratories, the concept cars created by students like the solar car, the hybrid car that runs on fuel as well as solar energy and the all terrain vehicle besides a number of other projects in other branches of engineering like electronics, computer science and civil engineering.
He was pleased to note the pan Indian presence of the campus as there were number of students from various states of North East, Bihar, and West Bengal besides Himachal, Uttaranchal, Punjab and Haryana. A charming group of girls from North Eastern States welcomed the dignitaries with their traditional welcome dance. Attired in their colourful folk costumes, dancing in beautiful rhythm to the tunes of their folk songs and folk musical instruments, showering flower petals on the dignitaries greatly impressed the Chief Guest Chandumajra ji and all others. The Chief Guest commented on the traditional value that is being given its rightful due importance at Indo Global Colleges and urged the youth to always stay rooted to their culture wherever they may go.
The students then requested the Chief Guest to inaugurate their food stalls which he happily did and enjoyed some of the fine refreshments like chaat, bhelpuri, etc that was served to him by the students. The students were very reluctant to see Cheif Guest leave as they enjoyed his charming company, his concern for them and his most valuable words of guidance and motivation.
The high point of the event was the crowning of Mr and Miss Indo Global by the Chief Guest. Abhishek of B.Tech Mechanical Engineering branch was crowned Mr. Indo Global and Harsha first year Architecture student from Indo Global College of Architecture was crowned Miss Indo Global. True to his style, Nabhkumar presents fresh faces giving great opportunity to new stars to showcase their talent. Nabbbeyy features German actress Eleina Kazan, Marathi Superstar Nagesh Bhonsale and amongst many such veterans introduces new actors like Vaibhav mendiratta from Chandigarh and Sushant marya and Dev Gohar from Delhi not to mention the fresh faces of students of Indo Global Colleges in the promo song. Nabbbeyy is also the starting ground for Sandeep Kapoor as Video Director; Kapoor is assisting Nabhkumar in the film as Promo Video Director to make his mark in Bollywood.
Going by the rushes shown, some of the characters played by the actors are indeed a pleasure to watch and the film would be one of its kind and sure to be s super hit.

Star Nite of Gippy was indeed a magical evening
The lush green beautiful Campus of Indo Global Colleges at Abhipur near Chandigarh reverberated with sound of music and merriment as thousands of Engineering, Management, Architecture and Education students celebrated their Annual Day Mosaic 2012. Sardar Jagmohan Singh Kang Former Minister of Punjab was the Chief Guest. Faculty and the youth were very pleased to have him in their midst and on his interaction with them he was pleased to note their enthusiasm to learn, do and make a mark in their respective fields to be the most obvious trait exhibited by them which clearly proved the positive learning atmosphere prevalent in the Campus of Indo Global Colleges.The students presented many cultural items like Hariyanvi dance, Bhangra, Gidha and Skit which was well received by the audience and visiting dignitaries.However, the highlight of the evening was the much awaited Star Nite by Gippy Grewal. Over 3000 students thronged to witness Gippy Grewal perform. He began with his famous song “Phulla Wargi” and rendered many of his hits like ‘Angrezi Beat, Huthiyar, Dhol, Ne Soniye, Lok Tath, Flower, and Desi Jatt which had the audience dancing in a trance non stop. The evening was turned magical by Gippy Grewal right from the first song with the audience screaming and dancing in abandon asking for more. Star Nite of Gippy was indeed a magical evening to be remembered for a lifetime by all the students.

INDO GLOBAL COLLEGES, ABHIPUR LAUNCHES CAMPUS BUSINESS PARK
Indo Global Colleges signed an MOU with Drona Edutronics today thereby commencing the project of Campus Business Parks at their Abhipur Campus near Chandigarh. With this agreement, selected Engineering students of Indo Global Colleges will design software and applications for Drona Edutronics. The students shall receive a fixed monthly salary for doing this project while still pursuing their education in the campus. In addition, Drona Edutronics will also share with the students a portion of the revenue generated by the software developed by them. Innovation and entrepreneurship is the key to economic growth. Indo Global Colleges, well renowned in the region for promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship amongst the youth in the Campus by laying special emphasis on such corporate tie ups , fully nurtures the innovative minds of the budding engineers and MBAs in their Campus. Indo Global Colleges a premier institution in the field of technology and management conducted 5 days joint faculty development with PTU at their Abhipur Campus near Chandigarh from 18 June to 23 June 2012 well attended by all faculty of Indo Global Colleges and over 50 delegates from surrounding colleges. The resource persons included academic luminaries, prolific speakers and renowned trainers such as Dr. R P Satsangi and Dr. Siby John from PEC, Dr. Vishal Sood Alumni IIM Ahmedabad, Dr. Jagmeet Bawa from PTU, Dr. Harpreet Khattar Founder Director of Secugenious Security Solutions, Col Satish Vijra from DIET Kharar, Prof. PK Singla Head of Curriculam Development NITTTR, Dr. PK Bansal AICTE Panelist and Amit Chadha Principal Consultant on Six Sigma methodology for Quality Improvement. On the first day Dr. Satsangi inaugurated the session followed by Vishal Sood speaking on Use of technology in education and Dr. Jagmeet Bawa speaking on Human Values. The second day commenced with Dr. Siby John an academician par excellence from PEC, also serving various International Journals as Referee and Editor. Dr. Siby John addressed the employability factor and stressed on ‘project based’ learning to make the teaching-learning experience truly enjoyable and most rewarding. This was followed by a highly interactive session by Dr. Y K Anand on innovation and creativity development in engineering teaching and Dr. Harmeet Dhindsa speaking on effective curriculum development. Dr. Harpreet Khattar Founder director of Secugenious Security Solutions commenced the third day session with insights on Cyber security followed by Col. Satish Vijra speaking on mechanism of product selection and technology assistance from R&D Labs and other agencies. Professor PK Singla, a renowned academician and mentor from NITTTR who has done extensive work on curriculum development for engineering courses spoke on Project Work for effective curriculum. Dr. PK Bansal AICTE Panelist and an eminent resource personality gave valuable tips on making teaching – learning not only educative but also memorable, enjoyable and meaningful. The session of the fourth day was commenced by Dr Bansal followed by Amit Chadha who conducted a prolonged two day session on six sigma methodology for quality improvement. Speaking on the occasion Shir Sukhdev Kumar Singla emphasized the importance of consistently enhancing the academic and intellectual environment in the campus in order to achieve excellence. He said that faculty development programs are a must and should be done at regular intervals to keep the faculty updated and sharp.
Manav Singla CEO of Indo Global Colleges said that the purpose of program was to imbibe the participating faculty members with more innovative and interesting teaching techniques ,thereby making their lectures more enjoyable for the students. Expressing satisfaction on the grand success of the program, he said that the participants would now feel better equipped to face the changes in the teaching-learning scenario and forge ahead successfully.

As part of celebrations of National Science day, Indo Global Colleges hosted a Seminar on "RENEWABLE ENERGY, CLEAN ENERGY AND NUCLEAR SAFETY" which is the theme of this year's National Science Day. This program was jointly organized, funded and sponsored by Punjab State Council for Science & Technology, Chandigarh ;Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi held at the Seminar Hall of Indo Global College of Engineering, Abhipur, near Chandigarh. The Seminar commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by welcome address by Dr Promila Kaushal Principal Indo Global College of Engineering. The Chief Guest for the Seminar was Dr. N S Mehla, a renowned Scientist who rose up to the position of Scientist G Grade and got superannuated as Chief Scientist, the senior most scientist in the region. As in - charge of V4 Photonics his contribution in the realm of research & development of scientific and industrial instrumentation, technologies in the field of Optics, Fibre Optics and Photonics was remarkable in developing a great talent pool of young researchers and scientists. Dr. Neelam Gulati Sharma, Additional Director of PSCST was the Co ordinator for this program. National Science Day is celebrated under the aegis of NCSTC, DST, Govt. of India on or around 28th of February every year. The choice of the date is linked to the discovery of the Raman Effect. As part of the celebrations commencing from 28 February various activities like exhibitions, competitions, lectures, slide shows, workshops, training camps, poster making competition and science quiz were are carried out culminating in the Seminar followed by Prize Distribution to the winners of various competitions. The most sought after prize was in the Technical Paper presentation wherein the students put up an excellent performance making it difficult for the Chief Guest to decide the winners. Dharitri Hazarika bagged the First prize followed by Dheeraj Kumar getting the Second and Amrit Raj getting the Third prize. They are all students of Electronics Fourth semester. They were also given mementoes and certifications for their outstanding performance. Dr. Mehla gave a detailed presentation on photonics followed by question answer session from the student audience. The energetic students capitalizing on the golden opportunity raised a barrage of questions and tried to get most of their curiosities answered. Professor Basudeo Prasad Head of department of Electronics and telecommunications engineering and Assistant Professor BK Sharma of Indo Global College of engineering actively contributed to the successful organizing of the program. Present on the occasion was R. Panickar Director General Indo Global Colleges who urged the youth to go beyond rhetoric and contribute actively in reducing carbon footprints for a better environment and use renewable and clean energy wherever such options are available. Rajesh Kumar Associate Professor proposed a vote of thanks.
