7th Annual Sports Meet at Indo Global Colleges, Abhipur

 The Seventh Annual Sports Meet of Indo Global Colleges, Abhipur was held on 4 and 5 Feb 2010 at the college grounds. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. V.K. Singh, IAS, Managing Director of  The Punjab State Co-operative Milk Producers Feb. Ltd. Inaugurating the sports meet, Mr. Sukhdev Kumar Singla, Chairman Indo Global Colleges, motivated the students to participate in the event with true sportsman spirit. Sangat Ram & Harpreet Kaur best Athlete of Sixth Annual Sports Meet took oath on the behalf of all the athletes. Heats for track events took place on Feb 5, 2010 and the winners of heats gave tough fight to each other for top honours in the finals. The muscle power of athletes was put to test in shot-put, discus and jawelin throw events.

 Even the faculty participated actively in all the sports events with vigor.

 Congratulating and honoring the winners, Mr. V.K. Singh, IAS, Managing Director of The Punjab State Co-operative Milk Producers Feb. Ltd., Chief Guest of the day said that he liked and appreciated the whole hearted participation of athletes. He gave away trophies of best Athlete (Boys) to Manoj Kumar and Best Athlete (Girls) to Harpreet Kaur. The contingent of Indo Global College of Management was declared best in March Past. Trophies were also given to winners of Football (ECE), Volley Ball (ECE), Basketball (ECE) and Cricket (ECE). Mr. V.K. Singh emphasized on the importance of sports and urged the youth to take good care of their health. Considering their professional education it is very important for them to have breaks which can be utilized by sports activities, as it goes a long way in all round development of the students. After the event on taking round of the College he appreciated the world class facilities provided especially the full fledged laboratories and infrastructure. He also appreciated the Student Activity Centre with multi cuisine food court, gymnasium, and aerobic centre with the most attractive clock tower adding to the charm of the Campus. He said that such a Campus is ideal for professional education and training.
